Nirvana Live with Zakir Hussain at Dubai World Trade Centre
Indian master percussionist Hussain has enjoyed a prolific career. Known in the West as a member of guitar genius John McLaughlin’s Shakti project, Hussain supplied his tabla virtuosity to the soundtrack to Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now. He returns to Dubai leading a world fusion line-up (its members have earned 43 Grammy nominations between them), featuring jazz/bluegrass collaborators Edgar Meyer (double bass) and Bela Fleck (banjo), plus Indian mandolin player U Srinivas and flautist Rakesh Chaurasia.
