The final night of the Dubai Jazz Festival’s intimate Jazz Garden events features the Boston Blues All-Stars, a round-up of musicians who have headlined the previous nights, including Barrence Whitfield and Toni Lynn Washington. Nelson’s fourth birthday

Notorious for more reasons than one, The Stone Roses changed the musical landscape of Britain before their acrimonious mid-’90s split, then they made up and reformed in 2011. The way the public has heartily re-embraced the band is staggering, and if the Dubai audience has a tenth of the spirit of their homecoming Manchester gigs, this could be a very special evening. Support comes from Starsailor frontman James Walsh, who’ll be playing songs new and old in a solo acoustic gig.

Rehab with Paul Oakenfold at XL Beach Club
The British DJ is renowned as the man who signed Salt-N-Pepa, produced the Happy Mondays, managed the Beastie Boys, became the first DJ to play the main stage at Glastonbury Festival in the UK and penned the theme to the UK’s Big Brother. He also recruited Hunter S Thompson as a guest vocalist, remixed the Bond theme for the 21st century, gigged with a 75-piece orchestra and reinvented Madonna.
