Free drink deals, weekend ladies' nights and new music in Dubai

A hot new ladies’ night to start the weekend, free drinks for all at one bar, and two massive new releases

There are a couple of new deals we can’t help but tell you about. First up, US joint Ruth’s Chris Steak House & Lounge has launched a new ladies’ night. And there’s one thing that sets it apart from most – it’s on a Thursday. Oh, and as well as offering free mixed, house and bubbly drinks for ladies between 9pm and midnight, there’s selected drinks for men from Dhs25. That should help the weekend get off to a fine start.

But as if that’s not enough, one venue has upped the ante – by offering free drinks to both men and women. Four nights a week, between Sunday and Wednesday, the Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort’s Moods Bar will be offering two free glasses of grape to all, between 6pm and 7pm as part of their new Social Hour. Feeling thirsty?

One of Dubai’s most prominent promoter group is preparing to release its first major compilation album. Audio Tonic is topping off another great season with the release of 360° Volume I Mix, which should be landing on shelves at Virgin Megastores any day now. Compiled from the team’s favourite floor fillers from the past six months, the double disc set features CDs mixed by mainplayers Mr Mr and Raxon. There’s also a launch party at the venue on Friday June 21.

Remember Hollaphonic, the heavily hyped UAE duo behind infectiously catchy iTunes-topping hit ‘I Don’t Want it to End’? Well they’re back with single number two. Titled ‘Found You (Stay Alive)’, the tune features Juliana Down lead singer Dia Hassan on vocals – a rock and house crossover. Released last week, the single precedes a full album release, which is set for later this year.

That’s all for now party people – it’s time to get out and play.
