Michael Jackson circus tribute coming to Dubai

Cirque du Soleil’s acclaimed The Immortal World Tour to open in December

Cirque du Soleil is moonwalking back into Dubai, with a very special show in tow.

The troupe will be bringing their acclaimed Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour tribute to Dubai later this year.

Opening on December 30, the epic homage to the ‘King of Pop' will run throughout the holiday period and wrap up on January 14.

It follows from the renowned company's visit earlier this year, which saw Dralion pick up rave reviews in February. The new show will see the company again returning to Dubai World Trade Centre.

Described as being similar to a rock concert, the show premiered in October 2011 and has toured the world, reaching an audience of more than two million people across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, and grossing more than Dhs1.1 billion.

It features most of Jackson's best-known hits, alongside elaborate circus stunts, outlandish costumes and carefully choreographed dance steps.
