Day one of this ‘grown-up’ musical festival, which features an emphasis on folk, soul, blues and roots, as well as promising gourmet dining options. Audio Tonic turns eight with Lee Curtiss at 360°
Recent winners of our Best House Music Night gong, Audio Tonic remain as consistent as ever as they roll into their ninth year in the UAE (which makes them, we reckon, the oldest ongoing weekly night in the region). To celebrate Visionquest big hitter Lee Curtiss guests upstairs, plus a top bill of regulars including Mr Mr, Raxon, Megadon Betamax, Rich Showell and Russ Cooper. A guaranteed top night out for lovers of house music and, well, just music full stop.

Blended festival at Dubai Media City
Day two of this ‘grown-up’ musical festival hosts a more subdued, mature line-up. Topping the bill is iconoclastic new wave poet Elvis Costello, who appears alongside a set from his wife, Canadian jazz-pop pianist Diana Krall. A late announcement saw the balance flipped with edgy London rapper/singer-songwriter hybrid (yes, really) Maverick Sabre offering some younger blood to the bill.

Blue Marlin’s second anniversary with Martinez Brothers and Richy Ahmed
Two years already? One of the UAE’s premier clubbing spots celebrates a birthday with a double bill of international house talent. Expect it to be electric.
