Burns night

We have a pretty international night coming up next week. Sunday January 25 marks Burns Night while January 26 is Chinese New Year

What to do? There’s so much to celebrate.

We’ve given you a round up of where to try for Chinese New Year

But Dubai’s Scottish expats aren’t to be outdone. January 30 is the chosen date for Robert Burns’ fans in the desert to get to together and celebrate. The 250th Anniversary Burns' Supper, organized by the Caledonian Society, has been arranged for 8pm at The Dusit Hotel’s ballroom.

It’s Black Tie or National Dress for men and Cocktail or Evening Dress for ladies. Tickets are Dhs475 for members and Dhs525 for non members to include a four-course dinner and drinks.

Guest Speaker is Willie Young, retired SFA and International Football referee, who is regarded as the best on the International Burns' Circuit.
