Ed Sheeran, The Jacksons, Chaka Khan, Nile Rodgers, Kicksound and more musical legends...

A glitter-strewn array of Grammy-winning super-stars are flying in to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre for the ultimate New Year’s Eve bash. The world’s most famous musical family The Jacksons will top a starry who’s who of world-class musical icons, including the electrifying Chaka Khan, R&B diva Gloria Gaynor, Grammy award-winning artist and producer Nile Rodgers and Chic, the one and only Jocelyn Brown, funksters Incognito and disco queen Kathy Sledge. Doors to The New Year’s Eve MasterJam open at 6pm on December 31 and the fun starts at 7pm. Tickets go on sale from Thursday November 20 and will be available from, starting from Dhs295.

Ed Sheeran will also be performing at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Thursday March 5, 2015, as part of a world tour to promote his second album ‘x’ (pronounced ‘Multiply’). Ed Sheeran’s meteoric rise to stardom began in 2011 with his debut album ‘+’ containing the singles ‘The A Team’ and ‘Lego House’. The album achieved multi-platinum sales in the UK. In 2012, he won Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. ‘The A Team’ won the Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. His Dubai show is expected to sell out just as quickly when tickets go on general release at 9am, Thursday November 20 at Prices range from Dhs350 for regular tickets to Dhs1,200 for VIP entry.

Kicksound, the award-winning rock band from Dubai, have released their debut four-track EP. The band was recently confirmed to play at Yasalam Beats on the Beach at the Abu Dhabi Corniche on Saturday November 22 alongside Rita Ora.
