#DXBNYE tickets on sale, plus sting and a top NY nightclub coming to Dubai

#DXBNYE, Dubai’s biggest New Year’s Eve party with a superstar line-up and breathtaking views of the Burj Khalifa fireworks has been announced. Taking place at Meydan, the gig will feature live performances by Pharrell, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, Busta Rhymes, Paul Oakenfold, Charli XCX, Sky Blu and Seb Fontaine. The show will be the first-ever solo performance in Dubai for 2014’s biggest star, Pharrell. It will also be the first-ever regional performance for global superstar DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, headline DJs of international EDM phenomenon Tomorrowland. Sixteen-time Grammy award-winning musician Sting will headline the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2015 on February 26. The artist will perform many of his greatest hits including ‘Desert Rose’ and ‘Englishman in New York’, as well as some of The Police’s most popular classics including ‘Message in a Bottle’, which helped the band secure a place in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

Provocateur, New York’s most private nightclub, has announced that it is opening in Dubai in December at the newly developed Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach. The club is set to be the first luxury electronic music venue in the city. Stemming from its New York roots, the venue aims to become the ‘Heart of Electronic Music’ in Dubai and promises to bring some of the world’s most talented DJs to the city. Provocateur is well known for hosting events starring festival headlining artists such as Calvin Harris, Deadmau5 and Tiësto.
