Jazz pop supremo Michael Bublé is finally bringing his boyish charm to the UAE, where loyal fans are set to hear songs from the eagerly awaited sixth studio album To Be Loved, which hit number one in 11 countries, top ten in another 14 and earned Bublé a Grammy award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
The old-school soul singer’s impressive mix of style and substance will be showcased at Dubai International Stadium, Dubai Sports City on March 12 and 13, where fans who have snapped up a limited number of tickets will be treated to Bublé belting out hits including ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’ and ‘Somethin’ Stupid’, and song covers from artists he says have inspired him over the years, including numbers by The Bee Gees and The Jackson Five.
Next up, Pacha Ibiza Dubai has announced its monthly day-party series, commencing Friday January 16 on the club’s Rooftop. The monthly celebration promises to uplift and energise guests during the balmy spring afternoons. Marc Marshall will put on an eclectic set, with live performances from violinist Nico, and support from resident DJ Rico. With a strictly ‘white’ dress code, the White Day Party begins at 2pm and will continue through sunset until after dark.
Finally, Irish singer-songwriter Sinéad O’Connor, famed for her 1990 arrangement of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, will perform at The Irish Village on Thursday January 29 as part of her tour to promote her latest album, I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss.
