Sven Vath coming to Dubai. No, really

Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE will host a special pre-Dubai World Cup celebration with help from the ambassador of techno, Sven Väth – a DJ who has produced a large body of work since his career began in 1982. He was one of the founders of legendary trance music labels Harthouse and the now defunct Eye Q, as well as being among the very first DJs to play trance records.

As a special guest, Väth will be introducing Dana Ruh, supported by Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE’s Resident DJs Frederick Stone, Jean B IAm and Jixo and Danz.

Piknic Electronik, an internationally renowned brand of family-friendly daytime electronic music festivals, has been confirmed to launch in Dubai on a monthly basis, debuting on Saturday February 28 at Dubai Sports City from 1pm to 10pm. The line-up will feature international, regional and local electronic DJs. The festival will also be a platform for local artists to launch into the international scene through an artist exchange programme with other Piknic Electronik cities around the world.

Infiniti Middle East has announced the launch of ‘Chromatic’, the region’s first audio soundtrack created entirely by the sounds of cars. The sound is generated by elements of the cars themselves – brakes, tyre spins, gear shifts, seatbelt clicks, exhaust roars and internal alerts. Megadon Betamax, a respected global producer and composer brought the recording to life.

A classically trained musician and popular DJ, Betamax worked from scratch to deliver a piece that feels contemporary. Users can download the track from iTunes, Anghami, Deezer and Spotify.
