UK comedian Michael McIntyre will return to Dubai with his new stand-up show ‘Happy & Glorious’ on Friday June 12 and Saturday 13. McIntyre will be supported by fellow British comedian, Paul Tonkinson. Tickets cost from Dhs350 and are available at www.doneevents.com.
In other news, British/Caribbean recording artist Marlon Roudette, German electronic producer DJ Robin Schulz and British rapper Example will headline the latest Nasimi Sessions at Atlantis The Palm. The season kicks off on Friday April 3 with Roudette, who is known for his number one hit ‘New Age’, which was certified double platinum in Germany. Robin Schulz brings his deep house sounds to these shores on Thursday April 16, while British Rapper Example – who rose to fame with his album Won’t Go Quietly – will perform on Friday May 1. He will be bringing his eclectic style, which spreads across electro house, deep house, hip-hop and dubstep.
Next up, Dubai’s party scene will see the arrival of London nightclub, Toy Room on Wednesday April 5. The venue will play hip-hop sounds with a twist of rock.
Meanwhile, Zero Gravity has announced its upcoming acts for April, which features an array of international artists. First up, on Thursday April 2, is world-renowned beatboxer and comic Beardyman, followed on Friday April 3 by Italian house music maestro Riva Starr. Starr has collaborated with the likes of Fatboy Slim and Armand Van Helden. Completing the line-up is Journey Thru House, which is back on Friday April 17 for a day-to-night party of 12-hours of music from Ibiza DJs Brandon Block and Alex P, and Jon Pleased Wimmin.
