Guns N' Roses tribute coming to town and dinner and a show at Pacha

Trendy club Movida Dubai is launching its new Thursday night event, ‘Fame Game’, starting May 7. The weekly night will feature Mr Shef Codes, who received the Highly Commended award for Best Dubai DJ at the recent Time Out Dubai Music & Nightlife Awards. DJ Beynamin and DJ Chris Nati are also on the bill. Expect hip-hop and R&B as well as a commercial mix. Ladies can enjoy free drinks until 1am.

In more club news, Pacha Ibiza Dubai’s latest dinner and show, Viva, is now in full swing, but for a limited time only – it ends on Thursday May 21. Of the exciting mix of performances, diners will see acrobatic displays from the likes of Franco Dragone, whose past experience includes performing for Cirque du Soleil, as well as other specialist acts from across the globe.

Moving on to band news of the classic rock variety, on Friday May 22, fans of Guns N’ Roses can experience a tribute to the American group at The Music Room. With a true GN’R sound and stage show, The Guns N’ Roses Experience will play a bone-crushing two-hour set with all the essentials covered including ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, ‘November Rain,’ ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ and ‘Paradise City’. Tickets cost Dhs100 and are available on the door.

Elsewhere, Vantage lounge and terrace at Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates has now reopened, following an extensive facelift.

But before we all move indoors as the weather heats up, there’s still plenty of time to party al fresco, as venues start to host season closing parties, such as Audio Tonic’s Sunset Sessions. The resident team will be behind the decks along with special guests for its closing night on Friday May 29, 4pm-3am at 360˚.
