Fibber Magee's approaches 19th birthday and more party news

As Dubai heats up for the summer it’s time to say goodbye to some of our favourite music nights and bars. Tomo Views Terrace has closed, with a re-opening date set for September. However the venue’s Japanese restaurant, Tomo by Takahashi, will remain open for lunch and dinner throughout the season.

To end the party season, Pacha Ibiza Dubai is holding two nights of closing parties. The weekend will feature the Dubai debut of Dutch DJ R3hab on Thursday June 11 and the return of French funkster Martin Solveig on Friday June 12. Also saying goodbye for the season is Societe Dubai Marina at Marina Byblos Hotel. The club will hold a closing party to remember on Friday June 12. Billed as Societe’s ‘Happy Ending’ party, the nightspot will be transformed into a pit filled with plastic balls. Guests will also get free massages into the early hours and at the end, partygoers will be given a Societe space hopper as they leave as a souvenir of the night. Resident DJ Mitchell will be spinning ’80s, ’90s and ’00s tracks all night long.

Like exotic drinks? Then you’ll love the new menu now available at Level 43 Rooftop Lounge & Bar. Crafted with a mix of fresh ingredients, herbs, juices and seasonings, the menu is divided into four categories, with 28 light and refreshing concoctions including the ‘Level 43 His and Her drink.’

Moving on from mixed drinks to pints in the pub, Irish spot Fibber Magee’s will be celebrating its 19th anniversary on Thursday June 11 with acts including Paddyman and Boxty. And to top off the party, guests will get a free hat or wig with every Irish drink purchased on the night.
