Censored Tuesdays at Cirque Le Soir review

Time Out Dubai has a new Censored Tuesdays at Cirque Le Soir review. One of the themed nights at the popular club in Dubai, this one stands out

There’s something about a bit of Happy followed by Can’t Feel My Face that’s bound to have everyone in a club throwing some seriously enthusiastic shapes on the dancefloor. Such is the vibe at weekly open-format night Censored Tuesdays at Cirque Le Soir, with DJs Scottie B and Skinnyloop on the decks.

We arrive at 10.30pm and already, thanks to a company party, there’s a glamorously dressed queue forming in the street, and it doesn’t take long for fervent night owls to start flooding in.

Before long, the aforementioned songs, along with plenty of other upbeat, instantly recognisable hip-hop tunes, get the party going.

At the stroke of midnight, the “freaks” appear on podiums across the club and, slowly, one by one, partygoers begin to notice. Phones are whipped out, selfies are snapped, Instagram goes wild with portraits of the painted moustache-man with the overly elastic skin, scowling at everyone by the stairs.
Throughout the night, the acts rotate and the phones are kept handy. And the music speeds up.

Your mid-week madness begins and ends here.
Free. Tue 10.30pm-3am. Fairmont Dubai, Sheikh Zayed Road (050 995 5400050 995 5400).

The bottom line
You’ll have a great, theatrical night out at this weekly gig.
