Zero Gravity, you know, the place you've probably brunched, danced and laid about at. Well now you can swim without getting in the sea.
The popular beachside venue has launched its latest attraction - a 39m glass-fronted infinity pool. There's also the small matter of an 800sq ft pool and 2,000sq m expansion, but quite frankly we're just looking at the pool and wondering if the weekend is here yet....!
Around the pool, party-goers will find 30 day beds and 50 sun loungers, as well as revamped bar, rain showers (no word yet if you'll be allowed to party in those!) and changing areas.
According to Zero Gravity, the venue was fully customised over the course of a year, with certain parts shipped whole from the Netherlands and Spain.
On the fact the pool is framed in 22m curved acrylic, designers Underwater Windows, said: "It is breathtaking when you stand on the beach, as the pool and sea seem to become one. By night, the pool lights up and creates a completely different, magical feel."
Away from the signature part of the expansion, there is the new stage and performance area, which could also soon host open air cinema screenings as well as DJs from around the world.
To give it its dues, the stage carries plenty of clout. Well, at least we think it does, because the list of features makes our eyes water: 'L-Acoustics K2, X Series and ARCS Wide entertainment systems, Clay Paky lighting, Kvant lasers, Universal Effects and more than 100 sound boxes.'
Entry to the pool is included as part of the existing beach pass rates (Weekdays: Dhs150 full day with Dhs50 redeemable against food. Weekends: Dhs250, Dhs100 for food) with no price. More information can be found at 0-gravity.ae.
