Quickfire Macklemore interview

Time Out has a quickfire Mackelmore interview, including hot topics like trips to the zoo, dead pen pals and flying

Interview

With a second album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, out now, and a new baby daughter, we quiz the Thrift Shop rapper about life in the real world…

1 Let’s start with something easy. How much does a postage stamp cost?
I haven’t mailed a letter by hand since 1997. I’m pretty sure my pen pal is dead by now.

2 What’s in your pockets right now?
Just the usual, my phone charger, film camera, chapstick, a baby sock and a bottle of Orangina.

3 What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought for your newborn baby?
A Sean John velour jumpsuit with a pair of matching Lugz.

4 If you could have a super power for one day what would it be?
It would have to be flying.

5 What do you get up to on your days off?
I love a good trip to the zoo. I try to make it at least four or five times a week. You know, typical rapper stuff.
