RedFestDXB, one of Dubai’s biggest music festivals, returns to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on Thursday February 2 and Friday 3. Previous years saw globally renowned artists Rita Ora, The Script and Iggy Azalea perform in the city, and while this year’s headline act, Chris Brown, dropped out earlier this month citing “scheduling conflicts”, there’s still an equally strong line-up for the 2017 edition.
Jamaican rapper and singer Sean Paul, who has worked with everyone from Sia to Simple Plan, will take to the RedFest stage on Thursday February 2. G-Eazy, who has who has worked with Lil Wayne and Britney Spears and is known for his 2015 hit Me, Myself & I, will also play on opening night, along with Australian duo The Veronicas, whose hits include Untouched and In My Blood, and American singer Daya, known for her vocals on The Chainsmokers’ hit Don’t Let Me Down, which was nominated for the Best Dance Recording Grammy Award last year.
American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato, whose hits include Skyscraper and Cool for the Summer will be headlining Friday night. Tove Lo, Alessia Cara and Mike Posner (who began as a songwriter penning tracks for the likes of Justin Bieber and Pharrell Williams) will also perform on the second night.
As always, Virgin Radio’s DJs will be on hand throughout the weekend, broadcasting live and hosting the festival. Local DJ Dany Neville will take to the decks after the headline act on each night, bringing the festival to a close with a set of urban and hip-hop tunes. Get your tickets now.
