Dream Theater - October 6
Legendary prog rockers Dream Theater will be lighting up Dubai Sports City as the band celebrates the 25th anniversary of its debut album Images, Words & Beyond. Expect classic hits including Pull Me Under and Another Day, plus a lighting and visual spectacular to wow. Scouting For Girls - October 20
British pop-rock band Scouting For Girls will be playing a one-off show at Dubai Opera on Friday October 20. The gig will also be the first time Dubai’s opera house will be arranged in a flat floor layout, so jump around to hits like She's So Lovely and Elvis Ain't Dead.

Gorillaz at Fiesta De Los Muertos – October 27
One of the gigs we’re most looking forward to this coming season is Fiesta De Los Muertos – the Halloween party taking place at Autism Rocks Arena. Damon Albarn’s legendary virtual band Gorillaz will be headlining this year, with support from Nick Jonas (formerly of The Jonas Brothers fame) and The Mariachis (currently of Doritos TV ad fame).

Status Quo - October 27

Classic British rockers Status Quo will be rocking all over Dubai Opera this October. So if celebrating Halloween at Fiesta De Los Muertos isn't your thing, perhaps a night catching this legendary band is? The band has extended its Last Night at the Electrics world tour in honour of late guitarist Rick Parfitt. Pay your money, take your choice. Whatever you want.

Ocean Colour Scene – November 9
The ’90s, Britpop band will be playing a gig at The Irish Village on Thursday November 9, and you can to see the nostalgic group for just Dhs165. The band are heading to The Irish Village as part of their Moseley Shoals 20th Anniversary Tour, where they’ll be performing their greatest hits including The Riverboat Song, The Day We Caught the Train and Hundred Mile High City.

Liam Gallagher – November 10
Keeping up the Britpop invasion, Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher is heading to Dubai to perform at the Party in the Park festival at Dubai Media City. Expect singalong classics from his Oasis days and a bunch of new material from his debut solo album As You Were, which will be released in October.

Jennifer Lopez – November 17

From a Latin American-themed festival in October to one of the continent’s music legends in November, Jennifer Lopez is also in town for one night only. One of the absolute stalwarts of pop in the 21st Century, JLo is going to be rocking the Autism Rocks Arena on Friday November 17, bringing her Latin American glamour, full-throttle dance performances and massive tunes like Jenny from the Block, Love Don’t Cost a Thing and On the Floor.

Ed Sheeran – November 23

There are few gigs that whipped up as much of a frenzy as Ed Sheeran’s pending arrival did. The singer-songwriter has been here before, but Sheeran’s career has absolutely skyrocketed in the years since his 2015 visit. Demand for tickets spread like wildfire, and – sadly – sold out long ago. But keep a close eye on official outlets for this one, you never know, more tickets might crop up ahead of the gig.

Calvin Harris and P!nk – November 23 and 26
The first two global superstars have been announced for this year’s F1 party in Abu Dhabi. And the show looks set to be bigger and better than ever. Calvin Harris has been confirmed as the Thursday (November 23) night headline act at this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam After-Race concert. P!nk has also been confirmed, with the entire Yas Marina circuit being painted – appropriately – pink to mark the occasion of her gig on Sunday November 26.

Tiesto, Carl Cox & Martin Garrix - November 24-26
Abu Dhabi’s Formula 1 weekend will see three DJ megastars take to the decks at Du Forum. Dance music supremos Alchemy Project’s three-night Beyond The Track event sees the promoters return to the scene with a bang after five years away. Martin Garrix will perform on Friday November 24, Carl Cox on Saturday November 25 and Tiësto will round off the weekend on Sunday November 26. They will appear at Du Forum, Yas Island, adding to the Yasalam After-Race gigs by Calvin Harris, P!nk (and another act, still to be revealed) as part of the capital’s biggest weekend of action.

UK pop legends Take That are coming back to Dubai this November, on the back of their sell-out Wonderland tour of the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Rufus Wainwright – December 6

Elton John - December 8

Due to a severe bout of gastric flu, Sir Elton John postponed his originally scheduled December 2016 show, and again in January this year. The show has now been set to take place on Friday December 8 – and the Rocket Man singer is “looking forward to seeing you all there and promises an amazing show”.
