Sting returning to Dubai Jazz Festival in 2016

Sting will play at Dubai Jazz Festival next year alongside trumpeter Chris Botti

In February he dazzled Dubai when he headlined at the 2015 Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, and Sting will return in 2016.

The Police frontman will be back at Media City Amphitheatre next year when the annual music event comes back.

On February 25, the 64-year-old will hit the stage with Chris Botti, the trumpeter who is the largest selling instrumental artist in the United States right now.

Alongside a band, expect the pair to team up for tunes such as ‘When I Fall In Love’, ‘Concierto de Aranjuez’, ‘The Very Thought of You’, plus Sting’s hits like ‘Desert Rose’, ‘Every breath You Take’ and ‘Shape of My Heart’.

As well as having huge musicians such as Sting on his list of collaborators, Botti, 53, can also namedrop Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Josh Groban, Yo-Yo Ma, Michael Bublé, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, John Mayer, Andrea Bocelli, Joshua Bell, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and even Frank Sinatra.

“This outstanding show marks a first time appearance of an iconic Pop Jazz artist like Chris Botti and the return of Sting after his sell out gig in 2015, to perform together in a rare live performance,” stated Anthony Younes, CEO and Founder Chillout Productions. “It’s definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch a stellar show by these two Grammy Award-winning artists. Don’t miss out on being one of the thousands of guests to witness this special concert event next February as they prove why they hold multiple Grammys and the hearts of millions of music lovers.”

The duo are also performing in Manila in the Philippines on March 3.
