One of Australia's best loved comics is coming to Dubai.
Adam Hills, who has a huge profile in both his homeland and the UK, will perform at Dubai World Trade Centre on May 27, his first gig in the region.
Hills' 'The Lasy Leg' is one of the most popular comedy panel shows on British television, while his stand-up earned race reviews in The Guardian, The Scotsman and Heat.
The 45-year-old Sydney native was one of the biggest pulls at last year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and made make strides into the US and Canada with shows at Comedy Arts Festival (the only Australian to do so) and Just For Laughs Festival.
Hills, who was born without a right foot and wears a prosthetic, is recognised for having had a positive impact on the way disability is discussed.
In a recent interview, he told British newspaper The Daily Telegraph: "Disabled people are just the same as anyone else – there are nice and not-so-nice people – and they should be laughed at in the same way."
The same interview hailed him as the nicest man in comedy, while his Clown Heart tour - during which he raises money for local charities - was dubbed as 'effortlessly brilliant, making you wonder why some comedians even get out of bed'.
