Yes, ladies and gents, the one and only Tom Jones is coming to Dubai!
The Welsh crooner, still strutting his stuff with style at the age of 76, will be one of the starring acts at next year’s Emirates Airline Jazz Festival at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.
Jones’ performance is scheduled for Wednesday February 22, 2017 and tickets go on sale today, Tuesday December 13, at midday on ticketmaster.ae.
He will be joined by other superstars (admittedly not jazz musicians) of the likes of Mariah Carey and Enrique Iglesias.
With a career spanning over six decades, the man from Glamorgan has had a string of hit singles including "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat", "Delilah", "Green, Green Grass of Home", "She's a Lady" and "Kiss".
Appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1999, Jones was also knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, which means we should all be calling him Sir Tom Jones.
Jones was scheduled to perform in Abu Dhabi and Doha last April but had to cancel due to personal reasons.
He has however delighted UAE concert crowds in the past, his first perfomance in Dubai back in 2001.
We leave you with one of his timeless classics. Come on, you all know the words!
