One of the main headline acts for RedFestDXB 2017 has suddenly pulled out of the music festival.
Virgin Radio announced that hip hop sensation, Chris Brown won’t be opening the Virgin Radio RedFestDXB on February 2 due to “scheduling conflicts”.
Brown hasn’t performed in the region since 2012, where he was seen at a sell-out concert at Meydan Racecourse. The Grammy-winning singer is known for hits such as Fine China, Loyal and Forever.
Brown is being replaced with Jamaican rapper and musician Sean Paul, and American rapper G-Easy on Thursday February 2. Australian-duo The Veronicas and Daya will also be taking to the stage on day one of the music festival.
RedFestDXB, a 2015 Time Out Nightlife Award winner for Best Festival, has for four years attracted some of the coolest names in pop, and last year welcomed Rita Ora, Steve Aoki, Adam Lambert, MistaJam, The Vamps and Eva Simons at the Dubai Media City venue.
In February 2017 it will once again takeover the same al fresco venue, this time earlier in the month, on Thursday 2 and Friday 3.
Line-up for the second day of the festival include, Demi Lovato, Mike Posner, Tove Lo and Alessia Cara.
