Axwell to headline Base opening

Swedish House Mafia superstar flying in to town for grand opening on April 27

Swedish House Mafia co-founder Axwell is set to be the first headliner at Dubai’s newest open air nightclub, Base, on Thursday April 27.

A four-time Grammy nominee, Axwell found success in Swedish House Mafia, where the group set about creating some absolute club classics, such as Don’t You Worry Child, One, Save The World and Antidote, plus collaborations with the likes of Will.I.Am, Pharrell and Knife Party.

Sadly, SHM is now consigned to history, with Axwell now a solo artist in his own right and coming to Dubai as part of Base’s grand opening.

The club has made some pretty bold claims ahead of its launch, and says work is ongoing to bring absolutely world class artists to its stage. Names like Calvin Harris, 50 Cent, Justice, Pharrell and Wiz Khalifa have been mooted – so if the arrival of Axwell is just the beginning, then everyone should start getting pretty excited right now.
