If there’s one thing Dubai does well, it’s a beach club. Whether you’re after a day at the pool (see Zero Gravity, our Beach Club of the Year), or more of a party vibe (à la Barasti), you’re rarely going to be disappointed in this city.
That’s why news of a brand-new beach club opening at the Rixos Premium Dubai in JBR can be nothing but good news. Following the recent opening of Rixos’s second Dubai property, Azure Beach is positioning itself as a premium, Mediterranean-inspired destination, catering to the needs of both tenants of the Rixos Residences and its hotel guests.
“Azure Beach will offer its guests a stylish and sophisticated destination for a day of relaxation and rejuvenation with its tranquil and refreshing facilities; a world away from Dubai’s busy street life,” says James Burton, managing director of Azure Beach.
So we know it’s going to be more of a relaxing club, but what else does it have on offer?
Well, with a view of the Arabian Gulf that refuses to get old, the club also offers up an infinity pool with private island beds. If sand and sea are more your thing, then spend the day chilling on the club’s private beach, or perhaps head over to the private lounge area or shisha terrace to enjoy views of the sunset with views of the Ain Dubai and Palm Jumeirah.
Food-wise, guests can order freshly prepared sushi and Asian snacks, as well as seafood ceviche and more, so you won’t go home hungry.
General entrance to the club is Dhs100 on weekdays, for one sunbed and towel per person, and Dhs200 at the weekend. Kids up to five get in for free, while kids between six and 12 years old get 50 percent off.
So, what are you doing this weekend?
From Dhs100 per person. Rixos Premium Dubai, The Walk, JBR (04 520 0000).
