New stand-up comedy night coming to Brunswick Sports Club

Australian comedian Jessica Pratt to host the Sheraton Mall of the Emirates bar’s new Tuesday night gig

There’s another stand-up comedy night coming to town.

Brunswick Sports Club at Sheraton Mall of the Emirates is the latest venue to announce that it’s hosting a brand-new night to get you laughing out loud.

The first stand-up show will take place on Tuesday August 22 at 7pm, and then will take place every Tuesday night after that.

The night will be hosted by Australian comedian Jessica Pratt, who worked as head writer for the web series’ Almost Viral and Breaking News – A Recap, as well as contributing to the online comedy writing platform

Pratt will be introducing the Dubai crowd to a host of stellar comedians from all over the world.

Headlining this first show is Brooklynite Simeon Goodson. The funnyman has plenty of experience on the live circuit, having played many of New York’s comedy clubs. He moved to Dubai in 2015 and won the Dubai Comedy Festival’s Beat the Gong contest that year. He also toured the States with his Comedy's Best Kept Secret show and opened for Hannibal Buress on his Comedy Camisado Tour.

Goodson is also opening for the return of Frankie’s Comedy Cellar at Frankie’s Italian Bar & Grill this weekend, on Saturday August 19.

So if you can’t make it to this weekend’s show, you have another opportunity to catch the comedian live at Brunswick Sports Club on Tuesday August 22.

Sharing the stage with Simeon Goodson will be Salman Qureshi from Pakistan, who recently performed alongside international comedians Maz Jobrani, Godfrey and Max Amini.

Other comedians who will be taking to the stage on the night include Emirati comedian Omar Kazim and Rami Boraie from Egypt.
