Three brilliant UK comedians coming to Dubai

The Laughter Factory returns with five September gigs across Dubai

Get ready for some proper belly-laughing, as The Laughter Factory is back for a stellar line-up of September gigs across Dubai.

The monthly comedy club has taken its show on the road across the city in recent months, and September’s pop-up comedy events will be heading to a range of venues across Dubai, plus a couple of nights in Abu Dhabi too.

This month’s top acts include legendary circuit comedian JoJo Smith, who is celebrating her 24th year in the biz this year, and will be bringing her outspoken style based on a life surviving hard knocks. Smith is described as a graduate of the straight-talking, risk-taking school of UK stand-up – a comedic force who takes no prisoners.

Also on the bill is award-winning Englishman John Moloney, who delivers his observational comedy in a surprisingly relaxed style, and points out the madness in the mundanity of daily life. Moloney is one of the UK’s most in-demand comedians on the circuit, having won Best Live Performer two years running at the London Comedy Festival. Finally, Jeff Innocent completes the bill, who won Best Live Club Comedian at last year’s UK Comedy Awards for his sly and witty style.

Following a gig at the Park Rotana in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday September 6, the night moves to the Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach for a 9pm gig on both Thursday September 7 and Friday 8. The show moves to the Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai in Barsha Heights on Thursday September 14, before two shows in one night on Friday September 15. The first show of the night starts at 7pm at Jumeirah Golf Estates, before the second show starts at 8.30pm at ON42 in Media One Hotel, Dubai Media City.

Tickets to any show costs Dhs140, and are available online through Platinum List here.
