Texas heading to Dubai this December

Sharleen Spiteri’s legendary Scot rockers back at The Irish Village on December 7

If you’ve been getting excited recently about the incredible line-up of music coming to Dubai this season, this is something to add to your list.

The season is about to get into full swing, and there are so many huge bands, acts, parties, nights out and more coming to town over the next few months. We recently wrapped up the major bands coming to town (from Dream Theater to Ed Sheeran and Rufus Wainwright), as well as the huge night of '90s music coming to town, plus everything you need to know about what’s coming up this season.

In what will likely be one of the final big gigs this side of the new year, Texas, the legendary Scottish pop rock band, are coming back to The Irish Village on Thursday December 7.

Known for massive hits like Inner Smile and Summer Son, Texas have been active and on the scene for more than 30 years, with the band releasing debut album Southside in 1989, three years after forming in the mid-’80s. While their first few albums saw progressive chart success, it was stand-out track Say What You Want from the band’s fourth studio album White on Blonde that propelled them to fame, reaching number three in the UK charts. Both the song and the album remain their biggest-selling records to date.

Texas are back for the third time in four years, having previously visited in 2014 and 2015, and are again promising a massive night of top quality music, throwback hits and singalong classics.

We can’t wait for another huge night with Sharleen Spiteri and co, and ticket information will be announced soon.

Dhs195. Thu Dec 7. Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, Garhoud (04 282 4750).
