Duke Dumont to headline massive Barasti festival

Three-day beach festival promising huge weekend of beats, eats and games

DJ megastar Duke Dumont is coming to Dubai, headlining a massive beach festival coming to our shores.

The star, known for huge hit Ocean Drive, will be coming to Barasti as part of the beach club’s Sunsets Festival, which is back for 2017 and landing on Thursday November 2 until Saturday 4. Ocean Drive has racked up nearly 300 million views on YouTube, as has 2014’s hit I Got U featuring Jax Jones.

The beach festival itself is promising to be “the biggest festival of the year”, a live, sensory and immersive experience in four interactive zones, dubbed “element zones”. Each zone will host a range of experiences throughout the weekend, including an open barbecue, stand-up paddleboarding, master-classes, and a whole bunch more.

Thursday November 2 will see Dutch DJ Bakermat opening the event, known for tracks One Day and Games Continued. Get ready for a night of feel good, positive and uplifting house melodies, which will set the tone for the rest of the weekend.

Friday November 3 will see a whole bunch of games, activities and even a floating, sea-based bar serving drinks throughout the day, which is also bound to be a perfect spot for sundowners. Duke Dumont takes to the stage in the evening, promising a brilliant day and night of fun, and funky tunes.

On Saturday November 4, DJs will be taking the party to the water for a chilled day of up-beat tunes, with live music coming from the floating bar, which will also feature some brilliant inflatable and water-based games.

The entire weekend is free for entry too, so what have you got to lose? Head down for a huge weekend of beach-side fun. We’ll see you there.
Free. Nov 2-4. Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai Marina (04 318 1313).
