The Music Room set to re-open in Dubai

Change of location, but the venue we know and love will be back soon

In September, legendary Dubai venue The Music Room played its last gig and closed its doors for good.

But it has just been confirmed that The Music Room will rise like a musical phoenix from the metaphorical ashes.

We don’t know much at this stage, but we do know that one of the country’s most historic and beloved live music venues is going to be back. Not at its Majestic Hotel Towers spot, but at a “new, exciting location”. Fans will be pleased to know that the popular venue will continue to provide a platform for up-and-coming artists, but in a brand-new part of Dubai.

What we have been promised, is that the venue will be found in a more central Dubai location – which is good news for some, and bad news for others. The Music Room was a staple of the Bur Dubai nightlife scene, so many will be sad to see it relocate away from its spiritual home. For others, this institution will soon, hopefully, be far more accessible.

“We believe that the new location is going to attract a much larger audience and generate a truly unique and exciting experience to the Dubai nightlife,” said Marios Economides, Chairman of Majestic Group of Companies.

So, The Music Room didn’t close, as such, it’s just moving to a newer, more central, and hopefully bigger and better venue.

Time will tell, and more information will follow soon.
