Fiesta de los Muertos announced dry

Concert organisers confirm Halloween festival will not be serving hard beverages

Al Ahli Holding Group and 117 Live have released a statement regarding the Fiesta de los Muertos event taking place at Autism Rocks Arena tonight (Friday October 27), confirming that the concert will not be serving hard beverages.

The holding company of the land on which Autism Rocks Arena stands, Al Ahli, said that no hard beverages will be served at the concert, which will feature legendary virtual band Gorillaz and UK grime artist Stormzy among others.

“Judging from the attendees of last year’s Fiesta de los Muertos and looking at the demographic of the ticket buyers this year, it has become clear that the Halloween-themed music festival attracts an abundance of families, teens and children,” said Al Ahli Holding Group. “We hope that the decision to make it dry will foster this family atmosphere and respect the customs of the land in which it is being held.”

117 Live followed up with a statement clarifying the situation and the desire to ensure the event remains inclusive for families and younger attendees.

“Fiesta de los Muertos has been and will continue to be an all-encompassing event, welcoming music lovers of all ages and we want to encourage as many families as possible to come and enjoy the Halloween-themed festivities,” read a statement.

Fan Pit and VIP tickets have already sold out, so don’t hang around if you want a piece of the action. Tickets start from Dhs350. Addressing any potential congestion for the event, the organisers have confirmed a free bus service will operate taking guests out of the arena and to Dubai Opera House, The Address Marina and Deira City Centre. Limited parking is available, so guests are recommended to take RTA transportation to the event.

Doors open at 4pm for the event, which will run through until the early hours of the morning Dhs350. Fri Oct 27 from 4pm. Autism Rocks Arena, Al Ain Road,
