J. Cole to replace Kendrick Lamar at F1 concert

Hip-hop star Lamar pulls out of Abu Dhabi Grand Prix event

Hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar has pulled out of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Yasalam concerts.

The rapper will be replaced by J.Cole, who will perform at du Arena on the night of November 25 instead.

Lamar cannot perform because of "personal reasons", organisers FLASH Entertainment say.

The Grammy nominee's latest album, 4 Your Eyes Only, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and went platinum in April 2017.

To coincide with the announcement, race bosses have released one-day tickets for the Friday of the F1 weekend for Dhs395.

The fee includes entry to Abu Dhabi Hill, the F1Ò Fanzone and the J.Cole gig.

Despite being called a Friday-only ticket, it also gives access to Super Thursday at the Circuit, which includes the F1Ò Fanzone and entry to the Thursday night gig by DJ Calvin Harris.

The only way to get into the Yasalam after-race concerts are by buying a ticket for the Grand Prix for that day.
