New electronic music festival announced

ECHO Sound ’17 hits d3 next month

The Middle East has a brand-new multimedia arts festival and the line-up has been announced.

ECHO Sound ’17, a new art, design and technology festival, will take place at d3 from Thursday December 14 to Saturday 16.

The avant-garde sound and technology event will be bringing an international and local line-up of DJs and audio-visual artists to the three-day event.

This edition will take place under the theme “Interacting with the future”, and will include a conference, workshops, talks and an immersive exhibition, as well as live music.

Each evening from 6pm, the Sound Festival stage will light up in sync to the beats of audio-visual artist Boris Chimp 504, who played at Sónar Festival this year, Italian DJ and producer Luigi Tozzi, and many more audio visual and electronic music artists.

House, techno and experimental DJ Rhadoo will headline the festival on Friday December 15, taking to the stage from midnight to 3am, showcasing his impressive DJ skills, sleek remixes and subtle productions.

Local artists will also be adding a Middle Eastern sound to the mix, with the likes of techno, minimal and house producers and DJs Maks, Dante Nasrawi, Shadi Megalla, Dario Loerke, Sash, Pooja B and Adam Rahman, all taking to the stage.

If you’re into technology, electronic music and the avant-garde, make sure you don’t miss it.
