Nightlife & Music

Get ready for one massive fiesta, because the final headliner of the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival 2018 has been announced.

On Friday February 23 next year, Ricky Martin will draw to a close the annual festival, which this we crowned Best Festival at the Time Out Dubai Music and Nightlife Awards. Following mega appearances from Duran Duran and John Legend on Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 respectively, Martin will bring the party vibes and massive hits to the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

Obviously, you can expect a huge singalong to Martin’s most well-known hit, Living La Vida Loca, plus other tunes including She Bangs and María.

The Puerto Rican singer has amassed more than 70 million album sales, and still tops the charts in Latin America, with his most recent single Vente Pa’ Ca topping the charts in ten countries in the region, winning a 2016 Grammy Award for best Latin Pop Album.

“His first ever performance in Dubai, and at the Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival, Ricky Martin will amaze the audience and drive them into frenzy,” said Anthony Younes, founder and CEO of Chillout Productions. “We felt from last year that the region, especially our Dubai audience, were thrilled with Latino shows and Ricky is not only a singer, he is a great performer who sells big arenas worldwide. Expect him to deliver sheer musical perfection, as he owns the stage on February 23.

Early bird tickets are on sale from noon on Thursday December 14 until noon on Saturday 16, with prices starting from Dhs325 after the early bird ends.

This is one festival we can’t wait to arrive.
