BASE to host stellar line-up of dance acts throughout January

Fans of heavy tunes and big nights out, you’ve just been given a reason to head out this January.

BASE, the self-proclaimed outdoors “super venue” found in d3, is back for 2018 with a brand-new urban and house night, “GRND CTRL”, which this month is bringing a range of international talent to Dubai to help you get the New Year off to the right start.

On Thursday January 11, international house DJ and producer Tiga is getting behind the decks. Having mixed tracks with artists including Moby, Depeche Mode and even the Scissor Sisters, expect an eclectic night. Tiga is followed by Harlem hip-hop artists A$AP Ferg on Friday 12 (known for his recent collaborations with Nicki Minaj), before legendary house DJ act 2ManyDJs head to town on Thursday January 18.

The Belgian two-piece act have lit up the dance scene since the mid ’90s, and along with alter-ego act Soulwax have released five studio albums between 1996 and 2017, remixing tracks from the likes of Chaka Khan, David Bowie, Kylie Minogue, Muse, Gorillaz, Hot Chip, The Rolling Stones, The Chemical Brothers and even the Sugababes. Expect a rip-roaring night of big tunes that will get your foot tapping, your head banging and your moves rocking.

On Saturday January 20, BASE will be hosting a special guest performance from an internationally renowned artist. More information is yet to be revealed, but we’ve been promised a huge name that’s sure to be a big night on the social calendar – so watch this space.
