Huge McGettigan’s Paddy’s Day festival coming to Dubai

Global superstars Kodaline to headline day-long bash on March 16

Get ready to paint the town green as Dubai lines up the return of the self-proclaimed biggest St. Patrick’s Day party in the Middle East.

On Friday March 16, the night before the biggest Irish celebration of the year, The Ultimate Paddy’s Party will be kicking off at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre, bringing with it one of the biggest Irish bands on the planet today.

Kodaline, the folksy indie rockers known for massive tracks High Hopes, All I Want and The One, will be topping the bill. Having seen their debut album Coming Up For Air hit the top spot and go triple platinum in Ireland, the band are getting ready to release their second studio album this year. They’ve also collaborated with Kygo – a track which has been viewed more than 47 million times on YouTube – and sold out Ireland’s Marlay Park, performing to more than 40,000 fans in 20616.

Having racked up more than 150 million YouTube hits to date, check out Kodaline’s 2015 hit The One below here, which has been viewed more than 17 million times so far.

Kodaline will be joined by The Coronas, Little Hours and U2 tribute act The Joshua Tree – while there will also be Irish dancers, an array of activities, a dedicated kids zone for the little ones and even a special, dedicated BBQ brunch on the day too.

Early bird tickets are Dhs195, and it’s Dhs250 for regular tickets, but if you’re in the mood for brunching, head to the BBQ Brunch Deck for Dhs495 for a three-hour brunch with unlimited food and drink, plus your entry ticket. Pick up tickets from McGettigan’s outlets or online at Dubai.platinumlist.net.

Talk about cracking craic.
