Ain’t No Sunday Blues brings two hours of free drinks every Sunday in February

Nightlife & Music

A brand-new remedy to help you get over the start of the working week has arrived – and, boy, it’s a good one.

Nola, the New Orleans-style bar in JLT, not only has a brilliant daily happy hour with drinks available half price, but it now has a perfect Sunday pick me up.

They’re calling it “Ain’t No Sunday Blues. Throughout February, and only in February, the first 30 reservations to call up, reserve a table for two between 8pm and 10pm on a Sunday will get unlimited house beverages and bar bites completely free of charge for those two hours. Talk about a bargain.

It’s sure to make this perennially popular spot even more attractive through the month, with nights running on Sunday February 4, 11, 18 and 25.

And there’s loads of cool jazz playing throughout the evening, too, to put you in the best mood possible to start the week.

The only catch is that, when you’re making your reservation, you need to mention “ain’t no Sunday blues” over the phone. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be treated to a top evening.

If you’re there a little earlier, no worries, because there’s a happy hour every day from 5pm until 8pm offering drinks with a 50 percent discount on house beverages. Meanwhile on Tuesdays there’s free coffee from noon until 5pm and four free mixed drinks and 50 percent off the food bill for ladies dining between 6pm until midnight.

Free. Sun 8pm-10pm. Until Feb 23. Armada BlueBay Hotel, Cluster P, JLT (04 399 8155).
