A seriously, seriously cool band are coming to Dubai to head-up the bill at Q’s Bar & Lounge.
American Idol runner and super talented musician Clark Beckham has held the residency since the start of 2018, and as he gets ready to pack up and move on following his final performance on Saturday February 17, a real funky six-piece are getting ready to step into his place.
The Strike are coming over from Utah in the US to get started on a mammoth three-month residency as of Tuesday February 20, and they are going to absolutely lift the roof off of this swanky, classy jazz lounge at Palazzo Versace in Al Jaddaf.
Firstly, check this out.
Come on, that’s pretty mega, right? If you’re familiar with US TV you may have heard that or many of their other tracks on shows like America’s Got Talent and Dancing With The Stars. They have also appeared on the same ticket as Kelly Clarkson, Journey and Macy Gray, and given how funky they are, it’s no wonder that Quincy Jones (the legendary composer, producer, conductor and the man behind Q’s bar, obviously) is thrilled to be receiving The Strike at his first-ever lounge and bar.
“Man, The Strike is the REAL deal!” he said. “These are the exact types of musicians we need at the forefront, and they know how to do it right. I can feel them expressing their heart and soul through their music, and I can’t wait for Dubai to feel it too!”
Fancy another one?
