Three-day St. Patrick’s Day bash at The Irish Village

Live music, traditional dancers and entertainment coming on March 15-17

The Irish Village a Dubai institution and Time Out Dubai’s current Pub of the Year  is getting ready to host what must surely be its biggest celebration of the year – St. Patrick’s Day (Saturday March 17).

As the rest of Dubai (and the world) gears up to celebrate everything about the Emerald Isle, The Irish Village found at Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Garhoud is preparing a three-day weekend festival that’s guaranteeing to get you into the Irish spirit.

Taking place between Thursday March 15 and Saturday 17, you can expect a whole bunch of live music – including traditional Irish bands, local Dubai favourites and even some live DJs.

Every day will see live performances from Sin A Der Si, local band The MapleJacks (who do some absolutely top notch covers, by the way) and DJ Marky Mark.

Friday March 16, meanwhile, will be an all-day family affair, so bring the little ones along and keep them entertained at the petting zoo, bouncy castle or with some face painting. Friday and Saturday will also see a bunch of traditional Irish music and dancers also performing, with Saturday also spreading the Paddy’s Day vibes to The Irish Village in Riverland at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Entry is totally free all weekend, so if you’re looking for a great bash, then look no further – as the organisers put it, you’ll be in for “a three-day celebration and pure Irish craic only at The Irish Village”.
Free. Mar 15-17, 11am-2am (Thu-Fri), 11am-1am (Sat). Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, Garhoud (04 282 4750).
