Drai’s Dubai launches unlimited ladies’ day

Chill out in style with music from superstars Pia Mia and Fuse ODG

Nightlife & Music

Dubai’s new super club Soho Garden welcomed the second part of its enormous development earlier this month, with Las Vegas day-to-night hangout Drai’s arriving in town.

Opening initially on Friday February 9 with UK urban star Craig David, Drai’s looked across the Atlantic for its next superstar, with US rapper Nelly headlining the club on Friday 16.

Now, the new, amphitheatrical club is getting ready to host its first ladies’ day, so if you’re looking for a new mid-week chillout session, you’re in luck.

Debuting for the first time tomorrow (Tuesday February 20) Drai’s is welcoming ladies for a full day of good vibes, good tunes and absolutely top international acts. Hopping into town for the first day is UK-based Ghanaian star Fuse ODG – who absolutely smashed the charts back in late 2012 and early 2013 with his stomping hit Antenna, featuring Wyclef Jean.

He then followed up his success last year with Boa Me, a collaboration with Ed Sheeran and an absolutely massive feel-good tune in which the singer-songwriter sings in an African dialect for the whole song. It’s a cracking tune.

Joining Fuse ODG is Pia Mia, who has already racked up hundreds of millions of YouTube views thanks to her hit Do It Again featuring Chris Brown and Tyga.

For Dhs100, ladies get drinks from noon through until 5pm, with the club open through until 10pm on Tuesday, in addition to its usual slot of noon until midnight on Fridays.

This is a new ladies’ day well worth checking out.
Dhs100. Tue Feb 20, noon-10pm. Meydan Racecourse Grandstand, Nad Al Sheba (052 388 8857).
