La Cala reveals top DJ line-up for Friday brunch

Three EDM and house acts coming to funky beachside brunch

Have you been just itching to relive some of the good old days of ’90s and ’00s house? Well, get ready to do the running man because one of the top DJ acts from a golden era of dance, as Ghantoot beach club La Cala gets ready to host a big month of DJs at it’s the House That Love Built Brunch.

Top of the list, on Friday March 2, is British ’90s house group K-Klass, known massive chart hit Let Me Show You Love from 1993, and the even earlier hit Rhythm is a Mystery from 1991.

Head along from noon on Friday March 2 where you can get a three-hour brunch by the sea, which comes in at Dhs249 for unlimited house beverages, including mixed drinks, hops and grape, to go alongside Mediterranean sharing plates, stone-baked pizzas and barbecue bites.

If you’re just looking to head along to the gig itself, and swerve the brunch option, entry will set you back Dhs80, and you’ll get two house drinks included in your fee.

Later on in the month, EDM duo No Regular Play from Brooklyn, New York are over to headline on Friday March 9, bringing their chilled, Balearic-inspired beats to the shores of the UAE.

Finally, on Friday 16, UK DJ Maxxi Soundsystem is heading over to present his deep house tunes, including this gem:

Dhs80 (gig-only), Dhs249 (brunch house package). Fri Mar 2, Mar 9, Mar 16, 3.30pm-6.30pm. Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotel & Resort, Ghantoot (050 151 8407).
