Filipino superstar Morissette is to perform in Dubai in August, and tickets are already selling fast.

The concert is taking place at Zabeel Hall 2 at Dubai World Trade Centre on Friday August 17.

Labelled as “Asia’s phoenix”, the 22-year-old superstar is best known for her stellar voice, along with her covers of Against All Odds, Mahal Naman Kita, and Rise Up.

Have a listen to her incredible voice as she covers Secret Love Song by Little Mix, which has racked up more than 70 million views on YouTube.

Pretty powerful set of lungs, right? Fans can expect to hear all these covers and some originals from her album Morissette, including Throwback and Diamante.

Special guest Sam Concepcion will also be performing alongside her. He is a popular Filipino singer, dancer and actor who has done opening acts for the likes of Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift.

Her full name being Johanne Morissette Daug Amon, Morissette first broke into the music scene by being runner-up on the TV show Star Factor at the age of 14.

Since then, she has won awards such as New Female Recording Artist of the Year by 7th PMPC Star Awards for Music, and has toured in major countries such as Los Angeles, Hong Kong and London.

Tickets are from Dhs75 on platinum list and are selling fast, so fans better get booking fast. You may just be a full-blown Mowienatic (that’s what her most dedicated fans are called) by the end of her show.

Dubai has quite the line-up of brilliant performances for the summer and beyond, including the Spanish legend Julio Iglesias performing in October.
