Irish mentalist Keith Barry coming to Dubai

Brain hacking – it sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie. But in September, you’ll see it up close, when one of world's leading mentalists drops by.

For two nights only, Irish “brain hacker” Keith Barry will perform his mesmerising trickery of the mind at McGettigan’s JLT.

Taking place on Thursday September 13 and Friday September 14, attendees can expect plenty of mind and body tricks, including revealing the audience’s innermost secrets.

Tickets will be priced at Dhs120, and will soon be available to buy on McGettigan’s website. Keep an eye out for when they come up.

Performing for more than 15 years, the hugely experienced brain hacker is well known for his UK TV series You’re Back in the Room and the successful Deception with Keith Barry show from the US.

Think it’s all phoney? The hypnotist’s TEDTalk, which remains in the top 25 talks since 2008, will give you a taste of what to expect. Be warned, it’s freaky stuff.

Keith has gained many awards over the years, including Best Magician in Las Vegas 2009 and the prestigious “Merlin Award” for Mentalist of the Year, joining the ranks of past recipients including the likes of Penn and Teller.

In the meantime, if you’re in the mood for illusion, book your tickets for Arnaud’s mesmerising Art of Magic performance, happening at Alserkal Avenue on Friday July 28.

He’ll be playing for one-night only, so head over to Platinum List to get your tickets, pronto.

Keith Barry: Dhs120. Thu Sep 13- Fri Sep 14, 9.30pm onwards. Bonnington Hotel, Cluster J, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, mcgettigans.com (04 378 0800). Art of Magic: Dhs100. Fri Jul 27, 8pm-10pm. The Junction, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz (04 457 3212).
