Free comedy night out for 21-year-olds

Dubai’s Laughter Factory turns 21 with free entry, plus a new late show

Free comedy night out for 21-year-olds

Fancy a free night out? Well, if you’re 21, you’re in luck.

To celebrate turning 21 years old, Dubai’s The Laughter Factory – one of the longest running comedy clubs in the world, no less – has not only unveiled a sharp new look, but it’s also offering free entry to one of its August gigs for all those who share its age.

On Friday August 3, at its 9pm show at JBR’s Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, there will be free entry for all those aged 21. All you need to do to secure your spot for a night of side-splitting standup is call The Laughter Factory hotline on 050 878 6728 (and be prepared to present a valid national ID of passport on the night, as proof of your enviable youth).

But you don’t have to be 21 to enjoy the gag-filled gigs heading the city’s way this summer. Fresh off the roster at Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival are three international rising stars – and you don’t want to miss them.

Live at the Apollo and 8 Out of Ten Cats alumni Dane Baptiste, UK headline act Sean Collins and Bronx powerhouse Jackie Fabulous will hit the stage one after another, forming a crack-up trio delivering some seriously fast-paced funnies.

And if you really want to see them get going, don’t miss The Laughter Factory’s brand-new Late and Wild show at ON42 in the Media One hotel.

It’s going to be a hoot, at any age.
