Fascinated by the beauty of Arabic calligraphy? Well now you can see some artworks at The Dubai Mall for free.

From tomorrow (Wednesday May 15) until Saturday May 18, shoppers will be treated to a light calligraphy showcase by artist Karim Jabbari.

Jabbari, who was named as one of the Top Public Artists in the World by the International Award for Public Art, will be displaying beautiful works featuring ancient Kufi and Maghrebi scripts that are intricately created with stunning attention to detail.

The exhibition is part of The Dubai Mall’s Art of Calligraphy event for Ramadan, which will showcase beautiful scripts right up until Tuesday June 4.

Beautiful verses will be depicted by calligraphers and artists in various languages, detailing the rituals and history of the UAE.

Art Noor is presenting a collection of paintings throughout the showcase, while a huge interactive cube will inform, educate and inspire you about calligraphy and traditional customs from Wednesday May 15 until Monday May 27 at Bloomingdale’s Atrium.

You’ll also be able to pick a verse and create a calligraphy print in Arabic yourself, with a pop up by Dubai Culture.

We can’t wait to see some stunning art.
