Emaar initiative encourages random acts of kindness

Generosity and selflessness encouraged with 1,000 mystery charity boxes

Throughout Ramadan, property developer Emaar is promoting random acts of kindness and making it easier for members of the public to get into the spirit of giving and generosity.

Through its Building Communities project, Emaar will be randomly dropping 1,000 boxes across its various communities and sites, within each of which will be a voucher worth Dhs100. These vouchers will come with instructions explaining the charitable deed which needs to be fulfilled by the bearer of the voucher – such as buying a stranger a present from The Dubai Mall, Address Hotels, Reel Cinemas or other Emaar businesses.

Alternatively, it can be given directly to recipients in need to use as they see fit. With more than Dhs100,000 being given away across the month, Emaar hopes to encourage more community engagement from Dubai residents, while also aiming to facilitate increased generosity to those in greater need.

To take it a step further, Emaar is encouraging people to share a story of kindness on social media using #BuildingCommunities, before they donate a cash prize of Dhs20,000 directly to the winner’s choice of charity.

Keep an eye open for these random charity boxes in an area near you soon.
