Ramadan 2018: Eight iftars to try in Dubai this weekend

Today (Thursday May 17) is the first day of Ramadan, and there are plenty of iftars across the city where you can break your fast over the weekend. Ramadan Kareem!

Al Ameera Ballroom
Get ready for a unique iftar, dining in the ballroom at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. The fancy feast boasts live cooking stations and special Ramadan soft drinks.

Located on Level 122 of the Burj Khalifa and standing 442 metres above the city, enjoy stunning panoramic views of Downtown Dubai at this iftar at one of Dubai’s most iconic destinations.
From Dhs475 per person. Daily, 6pm-10.30pm. Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai (04 888 3828).

Head to the Creek for an iftar with a difference. Take to the waters aboard the BBQ Donut and you’ll enjoy traditional Middle Eastern dishes such as shish taouk, lamb kofta, falafel, kibbeh and fattoush, with a variety of fruit and local sweets for dessert.

Dubai Opera
A special menu, which changes daily, will be on offer and is catered by the team at Sean Connolly at Dubai Opera.

Fogo De Chão

This new Brazilian steakhouse offers its churrasco dining experience with Middle Eastern flavours. The views across the city are stunning and the endless meat carved at your table is nothing short of delicious.

Galvin Dubai
Savour a five-course iftar at this swanky restaurant from Michelin-starred chefs Chris and Jeff Galvin. It’s classy, refined and the European food is phenomenal. It’s no wonder we crowned it our best European Restaurant of 2018.

LIMA Dubai
Try out a special iftar menu at Time Out Dubai’s Best Latin American Restaurant 2018, showcasing a selection of LIMA’s signature dishes.
