Public sector employees with work from 9am to 2pm during the Holy Month of Ramadan, it has been confirmed.

Reduced hours will be applicable to all staff operating within UAE's ministries and federal authorities from around June 6, the estimated date on which Ramadan begins this year.

The news was announced via WAM, quoting the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources.

The private sector, meanwhile, will see their working day cut by two hours with no salary reduction for workers. Situations may differ depending on industry and department.
