Find a sharing fridge during Ramadan 2017

The social sharing initiative is back after a wildly popular first year

Ramadan

Get into the spirit of giving and generosity this Ramadan by participating in the city-wide fridge sharing scheme.

Fridge sharing started spontaneously last year [hyperlink], thanks to the reach of social media and an act of ingenuity and kindness from an Australian expat. Fridge sharing is exactly what it sounds like – fridges are available in public spaces for miscellaneous members of the public to anonymously donate food and beverages throughout Ramadan to those in need.

It took off in some style last year, and the initiative is back for 2017, and you can find out the specific location of more than 80 sharing fridges on the map that has been created, see below. They’re spread right across the city, so pretty much everyone will have a sharing fridge in their neighbourhood – it’s just about heading outside to find one with the supplies ready to donate. There’s no time like the present.
