Ramadan art exhibition on display at DUCTAC

Featuring spectacular pieces from local artists

An art exhibition celebrating Ramadan is now open in Mall of the Emirates.

Ramadanization is an annual art exhibition at DUCTAC’s The Gallery of Light designed to showcase and celebrate Dubai’s community of artists.

Submissions were open to amateurs and professional artists alike and the finished result is something to behold.

The gallery asks artists to show what Ramadan means to them and the exhibition is a wonderful mish-mash of spectacular colour and images.

The exhibition is now in its third year and if last year is anything to go by it promises to be a massive success.

The event intends to provide a platform and exposure for emerging artists in the region and encourage passion and creativity within the community.

As well as Ramadanization, you can also get your cultural fix with a new exhibition at The Dubai Mall.

9HIJRI: the tale of Zayed and Ramadan told in unison is spread across nine zones featuring interactive displays and stunning displays of Islamic culture, religion and heritage and is free throughout Ramadan.

As you wander through the zones you can immerse yourself in visual exhibitions, libraries of books, art exhibitions, science workshops created in partnership with Mad Science and Dubai Astronomy and a load more.

The community zone allows you to star in an interactive greetings wall, while the self-reflection zone features a unique mirror and light installation.

We can’t wait to check it all out.

Free. Until Sun Jun 17, 9am-10pm. Mall of the Emirates (04 341 4777).
