Vegan iftars in Dubai this Ramadan

Break your fast the healthy way with a vegan iftar

Ramadan, Ramadan 2018

Be safe in the knowledge that you’re sticking to a plant-based diet by heading to a vegan iftar this Ramadan.

Myocum and Supernatural Kitchen are laying on a vegan-friendly spread this Saturday and the menu sounds immense.

Break your fast with truffle cheese dates before moving onto fragrant orange, thyme and beetroot soup.

Next up is vegan scallops, cauliflower puree and vegan walnut chorizo with a side of miso ginger spiced jackfruit, pickled cucumber and saffron lotus root, and last but not least is a date and ginger pie.

The iftar costs Dhs190 per person, but if you book by Friday you can get 20 percent off and you can add on additional cheese board for Dhs94 for a platter.

Dubai Vegan Days group is also putting on a vegan iftar at Rove Healthcare City on Saturday June 9 including a menu of hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, falafel and koosa for Dhs99.

You can also break your fast with vegan chocolate dates from Mirzam, which includes several items made using 100 percent dark chocolate.

The dairy-free range features seven creations made with UAE-grown dates and intensely flavoured freeze-dried fruits.
There are plenty of gifting options which are perfect to share, such as boxes of dates ideal for iftar and suhoor guests. Or you can eat them all yourself. We're not judging.
The selection includes dates filled with crunchy roasted pumpkin seeds and dipped in dark chocolate.

It also features dates filled with coconut and coated with 100 percent dark chocolate.
